Digital Preservation

ALFIQH Islamic Law Review Journal is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its content through digital archiving systems. The journal employs the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) for secure electronic backup and preservation, which is accessible through the Publisher Manifest.

The PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), is designed to digitally archive journals hosted on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. It utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) program, which provides decentralized, distributed preservation to ensure ongoing access to content. The system maintains an authentic and unaltered version of the journal’s content, safeguarding it against potential data loss or corruption.

This preservation initiative is particularly crucial for journals that do not participate in other preservation services, such as CLOCKSS or Portico, ensuring that content remains accessible for future scholarly use. For further details on the PKP PN and its role in digital preservation, please refer to the official overview provided by PKP.
