It is basically the author's duty to only submit a manuscript that is free from plagiarism and academic malpractices. The editor, however, double-checks each article before its publication. The first step is to check plagiarism against the offline databases developed by IERJ Islamic Economics Review Journal and, secondly, against as many as possible online databases.
